Spurlo–A Lifestyle Social Platform
Spurlo’s goal is to curate a catalog of products across the web that would help people discover creative ideas, pick up new hobbies, find their style and plan life’s important projects.
Since the ‘collecting box’ is an important feature and concept, we explored the option of using a cube in the logo. The challenge is that cube has been overused in logos especially by the tech industry. We came up with hundred of sketches and narrowed down the selections before meeting Tao:

We still liked the cube concept to represent the collecting feature of the product. Since a box is rather static, we put a lot of potential energy in the ‘S’, which shapes like a spring ready to pop out of the box.
